Final Report: Progressive Collapse Analysis and Mitigation Design
The purpose of this report is to conduct a progressive collapse analysis and progressive collapse mitigation redesign of the Northeastern Educational Facility (NEEF) located in the Northeastern region of the United States. The occupancy use of the NEEF creates a scenario where a threat of attack is potential, therefore progressive collapse mitigation must be examined and designed accordingly. GSA guidelines for progressive collapse analysis and design will be used as the basis for all analyses and designs contained within this report. A threat assessment of the NEEF will be performed and a linear elastic static alternate load path analysis will be performed according to GSA guidelines. The report is for educational purposes only and serves only as a demonstration of the author’s knowledge in an academic environment.
